Boot a Cisco router off of a USB Drive (Recovery option)
Hi all,
I would like to post this because this method has saved me when I upgrade my router with new ios. I used this as a recovery option. This will come in real handy if you are on-site with 128 MB to 1 GB USB Drive.
(e.g. boot usbflash0:c1800-io3-mz.123-26.bin)
When you are upgrading your IOS image after upload it via tftp please check the checksum before you boot from that image. it will help you to upgrade your ios without more hassle. ;)
